Atlas Copco Tools presents its latest precision drill

Drilling errors cause lengthy process delays, leading to significant additional cost and impairing quality. In aircraft production, only one third of holes are drilled by hand-guided tools. Nevertheless, manual drilling causes up to 65% of assembly costs, 85% of quality problems and 80% of absences due to injury.

Because millions of holes need to be drilled on every aircraft assembled – holes that are not made by robots but by people.

To meet steadily growing demand, the aerospace industry needs a drill that improves the process and makes users more productive. We must learn how to manage human factors more effectively.

That’s why we developed the EBB26, a drill that helps people perform better.
